Analysis [psychotherapy] should be regarded as a process of fluid
development unfolding itself before our eyes rather than a structure with a design pre-imposed upon it by an architect.

ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
As a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in private practice with more than 30 years of experience, I offer comprehensive mental health support to a diverse range of patients, including children, adolescents, and adults. My practice in New York City encompasses individual and couples therapy for adults, as well as parenting guidance. I conduct sessions in-person and online, offering therapy in either English or Hebrew.
My extensive postgraduate trainings in psychotherapy have equipped me with specialized skills in child and adolescent treatment, group therapy, couples therapy, and trauma treatment. I have contributed to the field through published articles and presentations on childhood trauma and sexual abuse. Currently, I teach on trauma at the William Alanson White Institute.
I am the author of “Playing Hard at Life: A Relational Approach to Treating Multiply Traumatized Adolescents,” a book that outlines my approach to working with complex trauma cases.

EDUCATION and TRAINING
My academic and professional experience in social work and psychotherapy spans two continents. I completed my clinical social work training at Haifa University in Israel, after which I received specialized psychotherapy training at the Department of Psychiatry, Rambam Medical Center, Israel, and comprehensive trainings on trauma. My doctoral studies culminated in a PhD from New York University Silver School of Social Work. My areas of expertise include traumatic grief and unresolved loss, which were the focus of my doctoral dissertation. This deep understanding allows me to provide compassionate and effective support for those dealing with loss.
In New York, I further strengthened my skills through extensive postgraduate training. I completed the Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Training and Group Therapy programs at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health. I broadened my expertise through additional specialized trainings in couples therapy and trauma theories and techniques. This comprehensive educational background has equipped me with a diverse skill set in clinical social work, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and group therapy, with particular emphasis on child and adolescent mental health, couples therapy, and trauma treatment.
